Pane replacement in the Berg district of Donauwörth

In the Berg district of Donauwörth, the balcony pane of a private home had to be replaced under challenging conditions. To do this, Heavydrive developed a bespoke installation solution involving two cranes for the customer.

In the tightest of spaces, the old glass panel first had to be removed from the balcony before the new panel could then be lifted into position with millimetre precision and installed accurately. The project involved the use of the two MRK 55.0 S and MRK 195.0 assembly cranes, as well as the VSG 450 K vacuum lifting system. The equipment is perfectly matched and works together in harmony.

To replace the glass, the MRK 55.0 S was first hoisted onto the balcony using the MRK 195.0. The compact assembly crane then safely lifted the pane using the VSG 450 K. The MRK 195.0 then took the pane from the opposite side and set it down carefully onto the glass transport cart. To fit the new pane, the procedure was carried out in reverse order: First, the MRK 195.0 picked up the glass panel from the glass transport rack and transferred it to the MRK 55.0 S on the balcony, which then positioned the panel precisely and installed it in the façade with millimetre precision.

To carry out the operation, an experienced Heavydrive equipment operator first carefully positioned the smaller crane on the balcony and fitted it with the vacuum lifting system. Using this mobile lifting equipment, the glass panel was removed and transferred to the larger crane, which then lowered it safely and precisely to the ground. The larger crane subsequently delivered the new glass panel to the crane on the balcony, which positioned and installed it precisely in its final location with millimetre precision.

Heavydrive carried out the pane replacement flawlessly, despite the obstacles. The expertise of the experienced operator helped to reduce both the time and costs involved. The machines' precise control systems also enabled rapid setup and dismantling, allowing them to be quickly prepared for relocation.
