Pane replacement in the Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich

In the lion's jungle enclosure in the zoological garden in Munich (Germany), the Heavydrive team replaced a faulty glass pane using the assembly crane MRK 86.0 and the vacuum suction system VSG 600 K. To do this, the equipment operator suctioned the new glass element outside, raised it from the glass trestle and transported it diagonally through the narrow entrance door into the jungle enclosure at Munich Zoo. There, the pane was placed on the HDL 600 glass transport trolley.

The crane operator then lifted the defective glass pane out of the frame. The new pane was suctioned by radio remote control using the vacuum lifter VSG 600 K, which was attached to the crawler crane via the assembly tip, and accurately placed in the opening. Thanks to the compact design of the MRK 86.0 mini crawler crane, the assembly went off without a hitch in the limited spaces and the glass element was safely replaced within a very short time.
