Installation of curved panes at Galinciems Library in Latvia
For the new Galinciems Library building in Ventspils (Latvia), Heavydrive installed differently curved panes with a width of 1.4 to 2.3 metres and a height of six metres. The task was accomplished using the VSG 1500 KR MH vacuum suction system for convex and concave curved panes. The building shell consists entirely of glass panels with a radius of 2.8 to five metres, symbolising an open book. Special equipment from Heavydrive was needed to install the curved façade elements. The equipment was in service for one week, completing the job on time and without incident.
