Successful start to the VFT seminar

Heavydrive makes its debut as a supporting member at the industry gathering in Wiesbaden

On 20–21 November 2025, Heavydrive made its debut at the VFT seminar organised by the German Association for Façade Technology (Verband für Fassadentechnik e. V.) in Wiesbaden. Since the start of this year, the company has been an official supporting member of the association and used the event to exchange ideas with experts from the façade industry and gain fresh inspiration for future projects.

The annual seminar is one of the leading industry events in façade technology, bringing together experts from planning, architecture, façade construction, industry and research to share knowledge and exchange ideas. The aim of the event is to address current developments, share knowledge and foster dialogue within the industry.

This year’s seminar once again featured a diverse programme of presentations, offering practical insights into façade technology. The programme was presented by Martin Prösler. Speakers included Martin Reick (Flachglas Markenkreis GmbH), Julian Kittler (GOLDBECK Süd GmbH), Stefan Hüttan (Delheid, Soiron Hammer), Thorsten Kühn (Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin), Felix Mollenhauer (Bundesverband GebäudeGrün e. V.), Martin Prösler (Prösler Kommunikation GmbH), Christophe Braouet (economist and political scientist), Tobias Hillebrand (dormakaba Deutschland GmbH), Thorsten Kühnert (fischer Deutschland Vertriebs GmbH), Dietmar Hillebrandt (ZINKPOWER Kopf Holding GmbH) and Ines Angele (Ed. Züblin AG).

The programme covered a wide range of topics, including bird-friendly glass façades, building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), green façades, digitalisation in fastening technology and Building Information Modelling (BIM). The presentations highlighted just how diverse and dynamic the façade sector is becoming.

The specialist presentations were complemented by panel discussions and a visit to the trade exhibition. As an exhibitor, Heavydrive showcased its lifting and installation solutions for façade construction at the event. The 3D miniature landscape brought along by Heavydrive attracted particular interest. At a scale of 1:25, it simulated various construction site scenarios and demonstrated the potential applications of Heavydrive’s lifting and installation solutions.

For the Heavydrive team, the trade fair provided the ideal opportunity for face-to-face discussions. As well as discussions with long-standing industry partners, there were numerous interesting conversations about current projects, technical challenges and future developments.

The event also stood out for its professional organisation and welcoming atmosphere. The VFT seminar provided an ideal platform for nurturing existing relationships, forging new partnerships and gaining valuable insights into current topics in façade technology.

"There is simply no substitute for face-to-face discussions with industry experts. The event clearly highlighted the importance of networking and open dialogue in driving the development of innovative solutions for façade construction. We are delighted to be part of this network as a supporting member from now on and look forward to taking part in the next seminar", summarises Managing Director Günter Übelacker.
