Record-breaking visitor numbers to Heavydrive stand at BAU 2019
For Heavydrive GmbH, the BAU 2019 was a huge success. From 14-19 January in Munich, around 480 visitors from all over the world came to find out about the products and services offered by the Tapfheim-based transport and assembly specialists.
Assembly solutions on a 3D model
The highlight of Heavydrive’s trade stand in Hall C3 was the 1:25 scale 3D model. It enabled the team to demonstrate the company’s different assembly solutions. “We are market leaders in the assembly of heavy glass elements weighing up to 6 tonnes. Unfortunately we can’t present all of our huge systems due to limited space at the trade fair”, comments managing director Günter Übelacker. The complex 3D model simulates a real construction situation at Munich airport where Heavydrive GmbH has fitted various panes in recent years. The team demonstrated different situations on the model like glazing overhead, under eaves and with a counterweight traverse, and assembly at extreme heights.
Digital Heavydrive services on trend
In keeping with the BAU’s theme this year, ‘Digitisation’, the Heavydrive team presented the company’s digital services at the trade fair, including the new Heavydrive App. A user can get in touch with the Heavydrive experts quickly and find the right assembly device by entering just a few details in the practical device finder. The customer can also send the Heavydrive team information, photos or videos via the WhatsApp service. The experts can then respond to the query immediately and offer a suitable solution.
Tried-and-tested Heavydrive assembly devices at BAU 2019
Visitors to the Heavydrive stand were able to experience and try out the GMG 350 assembly aid for curved panes as well as the smallest crawler crane in the world. The team presented the MRK 55.0 mini crawler crane with an automatic 3-axle overhead manipulator.
This was Heavydrive GmbH’s sixth time being represented at the world’s leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems. The BAU 2019 achieved top figures this year: 2,250 exhibitors from 45 countries presented their products from 14-19 January in Munich. 250,000 visitors from all over the world came to the world’s leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems.
