Regular maintenance and inspection of the systems are the basic prerequisites for a smooth and failure-free installation. In addition, different standards and requirements for using the systems on construction sites have to be met at international level. Heavydrive puts the customer on the safe side. The company regularly sends its experts to customers around the world to inspect their systems and ensure that they are in good working order.

Heavydrive inspectors in action internationally

As an example, in December the Heavydrive expert in the USA conducted an annual maintenance inspection for three customers, including W&W Glass, in New York. The inspection is comparable to the German Accident Prevention Regulations (UVV) inspection.

In August 2022, Heavydrive repaired twelve vacuum suction systems with a load capacity of up to 6.2 tonnes (13668 lbs) in Mecca (Saudi Arabia) for the façade construction company RIVA GmbH Engineering from Backnang, Germany. The special systems had been acquired in 2009 and 2010 for the construction project at the Mecca Clock Towers. The systems were exposed to hot temperatures of up to 40 degrees in the shade and extreme weather conditions. The vacuum suction cups in particular generally suffer under such conditions. The four Heavydrive experts put the practicality of the systems firmly to the test. After ten years of use, not a single major defect was identified in the systems.

All-round service worldwide

The Heavydrive experts not only look after the inspection and repair of the systems, but also the tool and spare parts logistics in accordance with the respective country-specific regulations. "Thanks to our many years of international experience and our worldwide subsidiaries, we are closely familiar with the conditions in the different countries and are able to offer the customer an optimum all-round service anywhere in the world," explains Günter Übelacker, Managing Director of Heavydrive. This includes repairing the systems appropriately for the different weather conditions, as well as organising and overseeing entry regulations, visas and special travel requirements.
