Installation of curved glass elements at Luxembourg's POST Headquarters

The special Heavydrive VSG 1600 KR suction system was used to install nine heavyweight, curved glass panes at a height of 34 metres at the new POST headquarters in Luxembourg. The system was developed specifically for concave and convex curved glass elements and is rated to carry 1,600 kilos. This meant that the eight curved façade panes with different radii, weighing up to 1,600 kilos, measuring 2,300 millimetres wide and 5,320 millimetres high could be suctioned and placed safely. The Heavydrive suction system was also used to install a 920 kilo, curved glass pane with a straight runout measuring 2,773 x 4,195 millimetres.

The new POST headquarters is located in the Gare de Luxembourg district. The building offers space for around 800 employees to work and relax.
