Heavydrive HDL glass transport wagon now with tilt function
The hugely successful patented Heavydrive HDL product line is expanding: introducing the HDL 500 S glass transport wagon with a capacity of up to 500kg. A practical assembly aid, this glass transport wagon’s special feature is that it can be tilted by 45 degrees while under load. This enables large panes to be transported even through low entrances or doorways.
The HDL 500 S transports panes with a width of up to 2.5m (extendible to 6m) and a height of up to 2.8m. Its low centre of gravity gives secure support to panes of up to 500kg. Like all Heavydrive glass transport wagons, the HDL 500 S is made from high-strength stainless steel.

The tiltable HDL 500 S was developed for the Hudson Yard project in Manhattan, New York (USA). For this project, panes had to be transported through the floors of a high-rise building with a ceiling height of 2.4m. Measuring 2.8m, the panes were too tall to be transported vertically. The HDL 500 S enabled the panes to be carried at an angle so that they could be safely transported through the floors.
