A strong turnout and inspiring discussions at the Fensterbau Frontale 2026

Heavydrive showcases its installation solutions at Fensterbau Frontale 2026 in Nuremberg

Heavydrive looks back with great satisfaction on Fensterbau Frontale 2026 in Nuremberg, with in-depth technical discussions, strong interest in installation solutions, and many new contacts. At the shared stand with ift Rosenheim, the Tapfheim-based company demonstrated that glass installation offers virtually unlimited possibilities.

In keeping with the key themes of the world’s leading trade fair for windows, doors and façades, the focus on the Heavydrive stand was very much on sustainability, energy efficiency and automation. The compact GMG 600 assembly robot demonstrated how effortlessly glass elements can be transported and installed by a single operator. The battery-powered glass assembly device is emission-free, making it suitable for indoor use.

"Most of our equipment is battery-powered and charged via a mains socket. This is a sustainable approach and also ensures a degree of independence from raw materials such as oil", explains Günter Übelacker, Managing Director at Heavydrive.

In Hall 1, ift Rosenheim showcased a special exhibition titled "climate. safety. construction", highlighting protection against overheating and flooding, along with the potential of building renovation. "We want to cover the entire window industry, right down to the components. A company like Heavydrive is a neutral player in this market and is a very good fit", says Carolin Lamprecht, Product Manager at ift Rosenheim. In total, ift Rosenheim had 16 co-exhibitors.

The shared exhibition stand hosted lively discussions on current industry trends and developments. "There was a great sense of camaraderie among the exhibitors." As Günter Übelacker concludes: “Visitors from around the world showed great interest in our installation solutions as well." There was particularly strong interest in assembly robots such as the GMG and the 7-axis manipulator, zero-emission systems, and equipment for installing building modules such as prefabricated windows with glass and frames.

Fensterbau Frontale was held from 24 to 27 March 2026 alongside Holz-Handwerk 2026. Over the four days, around 75,000 people from 117 countries visited the two exhibitions at the Nuremberg Trade Fair.
