Assembly of a 1.1 tonne glass pane in Ulm

In order to be able to mount the pane at its destination, the Heavydrive team first had to lift it above the apartment building.

The pane, which is more than five meters wide and 2.3 meters high, was sucked in from the side with the VSG 1500 KS vacuum suction system. The system was attached to the MRK 144 mini crane with assembly jib. Thanks to the intelligent Heavydrive technology, the operator was able to accurately guide the glass element under the eaves to the window recess.

Within a very short time, the 1.1 ton glass pane was securely placed in the opening.
