Assembly of sloping façade panels for bauma Wirtgen Group pavilion

Heavydrive supplied the 7-axis manipulator VSG STU 1000 K to erect the Wirtgen Group's main pavilion at bauma 2022 in Munich. The manipulator was used to insert wall panels measuring 6,000 x 1,000 millimetres (236 x 39 inches) and weighing 60 kilograms (132 lbs) into the pavilion's sloping façade.

The manipulator is attached to a standard warehouse forklift or telescopic forklift. This is done very simply by driving the rental forklift into the forklift shoes provided. Just one operator is needed to control the axes of the manipulator by remote control.  The VSG STU 1000 K can be connected to various suction systems, depending on the need.

So the installation of the panels into the slanted façade of the bauma trade fair pavilion went off without a hitch. The wall panels were installed within the day. Bauma, the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment, was held at Munich's exhibition centre from 24 to 30 October.
