The challenges:
Panes of armoured glass, fire-resistant glass, burglar-resistant glass, safety glass and fire-resistant laminated glass are extremely heavy and large – making them almost impossible to handle by hand. Just one simple mistake can lead to costly damage or even a broken pane.

Multi-glazed panes require specialised lifting equipment – once they reach a certain size, manual handling is simply no longer possible.

Precise positioning
Alignment within the frame to the nearest millimetre is essential. Incorrect positioning may compromise the protective effect. With fire-resistant glazing, tightly sealed joints are required to ensure fire safety.

Incorrect tension causes delamination or cracks – a critical risk, particularly with laminated glass.

Our exclusive insulated bracket
With multi-pane bulletproof assemblies, the outermost pane – known as the sacrificial pane – is particularly vulnerable. Pressure points, suction cup marks or even the slightest amount of slippage are enough to cause damage and compromise their protective function entirely.
Heavydrive has therefore developed a special insulated bracket: It optimally distributes the lifting forces, protects the sacrificial pane from direct contact and ensures tension-free, secure positioning – even with the largest formats.
